Masterconcept has won the tender to develop the Sberbank all year resort master plan for the Southern Siberian resort of Manzherok. An area of pristine beauty, of wild rivers and great mountains for skiing. The resort, located at the western part of the 2,500 km long Altai Mountains, is a prominent Russian tourism destination. People ‘escape’ from the extreme cold winters or extreme hot summers from the cities in the flat plains. The ski resort is of medium size and the mountain with its 800m elevation difference allows for nice skiing of all levels. Due to the cold winters it is of advantage that all slopes are bordered by forests, which protect the slopes from wind. The combination of the existing lake and the skiing mountain is ideally located for an all year resort. Masterconcept has utilized these advantages to a well integrated village with 1,500 rooms that is nicely situated between the lake and the mountain with beautiful promenades and great views.
